Angie L. Heath is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in working with adults. She received her Bachelors from UNC- Charlotte and her masters from University of Denver. Angie has worked in the mental health field for twenty years. Angie started in private psychotherapy practice in 2002 and, after a couple geographic moves, joined Dr. Mehmood to start Parkway Psychotherapy and Wellness, LLC in October 2014.

Jennifer Fennell, PsyD

Jennifer’s experience with psych assessment, counseling, and therapy spans 20 years. Jennifer has a passion for helping others. Her patients include veterans, adults, children, adolescents and young adults. She has a great awareness and sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic factors that influence disorders and treatment. Given this, Jennifer seeks to find ways to remove barriers so that clients can receive the help they deserve.

Therapeutically she focuses on the interpersonal needs and situational difficulties of her clients from a cognitive behavioral, client centered approach. Trained in and utilizing both prolonged exposure therapy and EMDR, Jennifer is very passionate about and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of post traumatic stress disorder. Andrea Petrus, LPC

Andrea works with adult women that are looking to take the first step in their emotional healing journey. She also works with women that are in, or are considering, a life transition. Additionally, she works with women who are experiencing anxiety and depression, or may be struggling with other life issues that feel overwhelming.

Andrea creates a safe and non-judgmental space for her clients to feel heard, held, and supported. She helps her clients address the root cause of their emotional pain and behaviors to provide lasting healing. She also helps her clients build coping skills to create resilience.  She operates from a trauma-informed perspective.

Andrea received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Psychology from The Georgia Institute of Technology, and her Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands.  She also has a decade of experience in corporate Human Resources.  In addition to being a therapist, Andrea is a mom to two boys and has a passion for health and wellness.

Amy Almas, LCSW

Amy is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) who received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and her Master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. She specializes in treating ages 12 and older. Amy began her career in mental health in 1996. She has worked in many different mental health areas which has allowed her to have a vast knowledge of the mental health system. She has worked in state psychiatric hospitals, private hospitals with both children and adults, emergency rooms, outpatient mental health centers with both children and adults, a crisis hotline, a Gwinnett County preschool and elementary school, a group private practice, and finally her own private practice, Almas Psychotherapy started in October of 2022. Amy provides in office treatment on Tuesdays but predominantly provides telehealth treatment.

Specialties: Amy has been in the mental health field for 27 years and specializes in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and obsessive compulsive disorder. Amy also treats clients with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis and those struggling with peer relationships, life transitions, stress, and grief and loss. Amy utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help her clients reach their goals.

Hobbies: Amy has three boys and enjoys spending time with them. She enjoys traveling, going to the theater, listening to live music, spending time at the lake and outdoors, watching reality shows and football (Go Falcons, Tigers, Yellow Jackets, and Cavaliers!). Amy loves animals and has three dogs, Niki, Reese, and Finn.
