Kathryn Vaughn, LCSW
Kathryn Vaughn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 18 years of working in the mental health counseling field with experience in addiction treatment, hospice, and community mental health. Kathryn received her Bachelor of Psychology at San Francisco State University and her Master of Social Work at University of Georgia.
Kathryn’s clients are adults of all ages in the midst of major life transitions or who want to develop a more creative and fulfilling life. Kathryn believes that the power to change and heal lives innately with in each of us. She specializes in working with grief and loss, anxiety, stress, depression, and past childhood or adult trauma.
With curiosity, creativity, and compassion, Kathryn strives to provide a safe place to explore each client’s unique concerns, strengths, and therapeutic goals. She enjoys working with clients of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
In addition to traditional talk therapy and CBT/DBT, Kathryn is trained in and often utilizes more experiential holistic approaches to therapy such as EMDR, Somatic (body) Experiencing, Focusing/Mindfulness, Guided Imagery, Hypnotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Psychodynamic Therapy).
